terrible incident..

Terrible incident

“With great powers comes with great responsibility,” I said. Memories of the past clouded my mind. Quotes with different meaning of life raced through my mind. It was all from my beloved father. My eyes glistened as I recalled my terrible incident happened just last year…
“Mother, can I please go out and with father? Please? It’s been a long time,” I said. “he is busy now why don’t you ask him later?” she said. I let out a sigh and just return to my French class. Why does father must be a president? It’s better if he’s just a normal father to me like the others, he would have more time to spend with us. I got to talk to him. “Excuse me sir,” I said dashing to my father’s home office. Knock! Knock! “Come in,” a voice of a man said. “Father please, can we go out and play? Relax for a while you have been working non-stop!” I said. My father turned a deaf ear. “Ok! If you do not want, I will just find another man who can spend time with me!” I yelled slamming the door and dashing towards my room to take a few things and went out to the gates. Unfortunately, the guards stopped me before I could even step outside the house. They grabbed both my hands. I struggled for my freedom. “what are doing?” mum asked. “I want to find another father who could full the time father didn’t give me!” I said still trying to free myself. “What’s all the commotion here?” dad asked looming into view. “I’m just going out to find a father that could pay the time you didn’t gave me and this stupid guards of yours stopped me!” I yelled. Oh my! I just used the ‘s’ word that my father wouldn’t let me use because he said it’s rude. What could possibly happen after this? grounded for weeks? “Guards! Take her to her school dorm! Go!” dad ordered. “Also take all her electronic devices!” I was dumbfounded. “What? All my electronics? No way!” I said. “Ok if you don’t want I leave you in two choices either you stay here studying or there in your dorm but no devices,” he asked. I had no choice. I don’t want to study it’s too boring! I handed all my electronics to the guards. The engine of the car revved up and off we went to the school. Jane, Marie and Sam were waiting for me at my room when I came. “hey guys,” I said frowning. “How you know…?” I said without me finishing my sentence because Jane interrupted. “the principal told us so we make it up for it,” she said. “oh well, the term is also going to start in a few days time,” I said. The days passed so quickly that term had already started. Ding, dong! The school bell rang. The students walked in every direction of their classes. I walked through the crowd of students. I sat on my chair when I went in the classroom while a shadowy figure loomed into view, it was my teacher ms lin. “be seated class and take out your Maths workbook and do page twenty-one to thirty. I’m giving you the time to finish your homework as I do my on work here because if I finished my work first, I might give you extra homework,” she said. The whole class whined. In the middle of our work, an announcement was announced. “Ritchie Johnson from 5 Purity, please go to the general’s office immediately. Thank you.” “ms lin may I be excused?” I asked. She nodded. “Good morning, Ms Teo!” I said to our one of the school staff. “Ritchie, I got a phone call from your mother about you father,” she said. What could it be? Accident? Sickness? Negative thoughts raced through my mind. I must think positive! I gulped. “What happened? What did she said?” I asked curiously. Tears glistened from Ms Teo’s lashes and rolled down her cheeks. “your father…. He got a heart attack,” she said sorrowfully. “your mother asked you to get the things you needed for the next days in the hospital, the guards were waiting for you at the car,” she said wiping her tears. I was dumbfounded. A heart attack? What could be the reason? I don’t want to lose my beloved father! I ran helter-skelter to my dorm tears rolling down my cheeks. I took all the things I see not knowing what that im is taking. Fear and doubt spliced with hate and regret. It could be because of me? I made him angry that he has a sudden attack? I went in the car. “How’s father?” I asked my bodyguard. “I don’t know ma’am but I do hope he is fine,” he said. “I do hope too,” I said. When we reached our destination, I got off the car and dashed to the counter. “Michael Johnson! What room is he in?” I asked. “umm…room 123<” she said room 123 I checked the directory for directions.”123…123... Ahh! Level two!” I said dashing to the elevator. Quick, quick hope when I got there I’m not too late! Father, wait for me! Wait for me! What seemed like an eternity and the elevator haven’t came yet so I decided to take the stairs. Lucky the room is just beside the staircase! I burst inside the room. “Father!” I cried getting the attention of my mother whose eyes were swollen by the tears, which is flooding from her eyes. I shuffle towards her. “Father? Father? What happened to him? I told him to wait for me! Why!” I cried as tears oozed out from my eyes. Mum grabbed both my hands. “Calm down, calm down, there’s no way we can get him back,” she said comforting me. “No! Let me go! He is alive! He is alive! He cant go! Let me go!” I yelled struggling. As soon as mum let go off my arms I hugged my father tightly. “Dad! Why? Why must you leave me? Why?” I said sobbing. Hugging a lifeless body of your loved ones is the hardest thing to do, knowing that he would never ever come back. As soon as I stopped crying mum told me the cause of father’s death. She said its was because of his stress, worries, mixed emotions and the heart attacks he has for the past months. its all because of me! When I told him that I needed another father that would provide us with laughter and all. I should not do that!
After that experience of loosing a loved one, I stopped being impatient and a spoilt brat. The memories with my father would be etched in my mind forever. I learnt that if you have powers to rule something you must remember that you have other responsibilities on other things so you need to have time in all. Life is short; cherish every minute, every second with your loved ones because you would not know when you‘d die.

kidnapped!!!!

Kidnapped!!

“Mum! Mum! Do not leave me! Where are you?!” I yelled waking up. “Oh! A nightmare!” I said letting out a sigh of relief, wiping the beads of perspiration over my forehead.
A footstep was heard from a far. “What happened? Are you alright?” my mum asked nervously looking worried. “Nothing, just a nightmare, mum do you remember the day I was lost and get kidnapped?” I said. “Of course, it is etched in my mind, “she replied. “How does it go again?” I asked. Mum began her tale. As she spoke, images flowed from her pores, swirling around her head like a impressionist’s dream. It was cold chilly Friday night, the leaves rustling, a chilly breeze swept over my shoulder and the owls hooted. “Bring your jacket its cold outside, you might get cold,” my father said going out to get ready the car. “Mum, where are we going?” I asked. “You are going to spoil the surprise if we tell you where we are going!” she replied. “Clues?” I asked excitedly and eagerly. “No you cannot?” my dad said. I just sat at the back of the car taking out my PSP and earphones. From the journey from the house until the gas station, I noticed that a black car was following us. How odd. Who could possibly go exactly the same way as us? “Sam, stay here, your father and I will go to that store there to buy something ok?” they said. Within minutes, they came back and strangely without bags! Probably its part of the surprise so they kept it. “Ready?” my mum asked with the very odd voice. “Yes!” I exclaimed. I asked my mum why her voice changed within minutes but my dad stopped me because he said mum lost her voice suddenly. How could it be? It was perfectly normal just now before we went off. I shrugged. Why they are like this? Like I feel that this two are not my parents. My dad won’t get angry just because of a small thing and why did mum suddenly lost her voice? I ignored my thoughts and continued to play but something caught my eyes. “Mum since when did you cut your hair?” I asked but they turn to deaf ears. I tried to ask dad where are we going but he refused to tell my plea was ignored. I yawned. I decided to keep quiet as a mouse so I would not disturb my parents and soon fell into unconsciousness. I yawned. Where am I? Is this the surprise? Mum? Dad? A wispy picture of an abandoned room swirled around my eyes. I tried to move but my hands and feet were tied put on the chair where I am sitting which is a rocking chair. “Mum! Dad! Where are you? Help me!” I cried trying to entangle my hands and feet from the chair. A shadowy figure loomed into view. A blurry picture of two men was made after I strained my eyes. My glasses! Where are my glasses?” I said looking frantically around. “Looking for this?” a man said having my glasses just out of reach. “Give it back to me!” I yelled. “No can’t do, unless your father john gives me a ransom of one million then I’ll give you back your glasses,” he said whirling around my glasses. I bit my lips. A ransom for my glasses? Are you kidding me? Who is so silly to give one million just for a pair of glasses? Probably it was a ransom for kidnapping me! Yes, that is it! “Who are you kidding? My dad doesn’t have one million!” I said but the kidnapper interrupted me and told me that if my dad does not give the ransom I cannot get back home! No! I imagined myself tied up here for many, many years. This would surely be my grave. No! I need to escape from here and fast! I scanned the surroundings for what I could use to untie myself. A glowing thing caught my eyes- a candle! The only thing that lit up this room. I tried to rock my chair nearer to the candle, as the candle is a metre away from me. I continued rocking my chair a few times and it worked. Beads of perspiration rolled down my cheeks. I looked around, checking if the kidnapper was back. At last! I was near enough to grab the candle. I put my hands at the top of the lighted candle. At the last thread of the rope, burned up, there the kidnapper came. I acted as though I was still tied up and sleeping. As the footsteps faded, I quickly untied my feet. How can I escape? No windows, only the door and the door is locked! Oh, man! I tiptoed across the room looking, for any way of escaping this ‘prison’. A nail? I can use that to trace up a hole repeatedly and soon there will be a hole to escape! Luckily its only plywood wall! Hoping against hope that I would make a hole. A hole of hope came shining- apiece of moonlight from outside. I tore the wall as fast as I could. Finally, a hole big enough for me to go through was made! A breath fresh air came out to me. Let out a sigh of relief. Car! Please! Any car! My prayers were answered! A shining light came from far away could it be a car? I do hope so! As the shining object came nearer and nearer I could make out its shape, it was a car! A police car! “Help! Help!” I yelled flailing my arms in the air. As the car stops, I quickly got in as the kidnapper was now chasing me. “Please! Go now! The kidnapper is chasing me!” I said. The car revved up the engine. “Girl can you tell me why is that man chasing you?” the policemen asked. As I began my tale, the police officer listened, only interrupting to ask a few questions. “Please, I want to go home,” I begged the police officers. As soon as I got back home, I hugged my parents tightly. “Where did you go? I was so scared. The kidnappers…the police…” I said panting. “Its ok now your back home safe. Go and wash your face and we will discuss the matter later,” mum said. I narrated my harrowing tale and the police officers took down notes. The, he said the police would investigate the matter and left the house.
Early the next morning, the sun shone brightly. The police came back telling me that they had identified the kidnapper. A few days later the police informed us that the kidnappers were caught. “Dad, do you know this man?” asked. “Why?” he replied. “He mentioned your name while he as telling me something about the ransom,” I said. “yes, I do know that man . he was my past colleague. He was a good friend of mine in my past company until he got me fired from my job and had to find another job. Ever since then, I have not talked to him,” he said. This frightening incident will be etched in my mind forever.

a big misunderstanding

A BIG MISUNDERSTANDING

Sam was frantically looking for something in her bag like a dog finding his lost bone. “Where is my hand phone? Where is it?” she muttered. It is not there…not here…where could it be? Somebody could have taken it!
“Ms Lim! Ms Lim! Can you come here for a while? I need your help!” Sam said, still digging her bag for that thing. ”yes Sam, what is the problem?” ms lim asked clueless of what is happening there. “My hand phone is lost and obviously I know who is taken it! Mitchie!” she exclaimed. The whole class turned around and their eyes were now on mitchie. “Huh? What did I do?” Mitchie said blankly. For a few minutes, there was a flimsy argument between Sam and Mitchie. Mitchie balled her fists, trying to control her temper. Her blood was boiling to the point anger contorted on her face. She shrugged uncomfortably. As the period ends, the monitress, Monica went to mitchie to comfort her as she knew exactly know what had happened and that mitchie did not stole anything from anybody. “Don’t worry I will help you with your problem, this is happening to you because of them! They planned it all well with her “followers.” “Tell me!” mitchie said.

“Girls! Come on, we have something to plan” Sam said with a malicious smile. So I decided to follow them, I know there is something fishy in all their work! “Girls you noticed that mitchie is overtaking us and I don’t want that to happen. She has good grades and a clean record so we are going to ruin it! “Sam said mischievously .They went to the class and take Sam’s hand phone to Mitchie’s bag.”Oh, this will be a great show!” they said letting up a grudge smile. They ran out of the class as they heard the footsteps. As mitchie went to the class to take something, Sam and her friends went to the class helter-skelter. “Hey Mitchie! What are you doing here? Stealing?” she said walking back and forth. “Why should I? I do not want any of your jewelries and whatever expensive stuffs you have, I am happy to what I have now! So if you please I need to go to the library now!” mitchie said as she dashed out of the room. In that case, Sam and her friends thought that if the plan will not work…she could just tell the principal so it would faster and easier! The plan was all set! Just waiting for the bell to ring so that the class would come back and the show will start! “So that’s what had happened huh! Now let us see who is going to get scolded,” mitchie said letting out a sigh of relief. “Let’s go to the class now!” Monica said grabbing her hand running. “Mitchie from 5 T please come to the principal’s office now,” the announcer said. As mitchie went out, Sam and her friends were giggling, thinking that mitchie would be expelled or kick out. They thought wrong! Knock! Knock! “Yes? Come in!” a voice of a woman sound from the inside of the office. Beads of perspiration rolled down Mitchie’s forehead. Millions of thought raced through her mind, wishing and praying hard that she would not get scolded. “Oh what am I doing? I did not do anything wrong! I am innocent just going to tell nothing but the truth. Even though she didn’t do anything wrong her heart beats faster and faster. Hands clinging on the doorknob. A shadowy figure came inside the room –it was mitchie. “Miss Tan, I don’t understand you did this. Can you please give me an explanation?” said their principal, ms lim. “Mam, I seriously did not do anything as what Monica said! She knows everything that happened I swear,” mitchie said nervously that Ms Lin could not understand on what she just said. Ms Lim asked Monica to come to the office as well. After like an eternity, they went back to class with a cheerful, happy smile.
After school, mitchie dashed to Sam. “Now who is going to be scolded? Humph?” mitchie said in a devilish tone of voice. Giggles were spiraling in both our throats, like a caged hamster. Karma! As a result Sam and her friends were punished by cleaning all the classrooms for the whole day! As she saw Sam walked pass by she gave her a naughty smile. “Well she deserver it! She could just work hard to achieve what she wants and what you do to others will happen to you too!” mitchie said satisfying herself but deep inside her heart, a pity for Sam and after the punishment they decide to be friends.
